shoulder to shoulder, what a pair:
dividing up the universe, taking control,
commanding and deploying,
at last they have a role.
dissent's unpatriotic -
it's not for you or me -
detention for all refugees,
forget they've had to flee.
now beards are suspect, Arab names too
and non white faces-nothing new.
war, war, war: males need war,
warriors together: more, more, more.
Bush and Blair together
leading us astray,
bombing caves and deserts,
must this be the only way?
it keeps us all distracted
and the arms machine alive,
dissent's beyond the pale,
civil liberties must hide.
war, war, war:
men sending boys to die,
who's the terrorist these days,
who's getting high
on images of conquest?
forget the blood soaked cost,
power, power, power:
the earth will soon be lost
